Although Berlin is the capital of Germany, it’s the most uncharacteristically German of them all, maybe its bohemian flair has something to do with its colourful past, including most recently an almost bi-polar existence during the Cold War.

But whatever it is, Berlin now offers the street photographer a unique opportunity to capture a conflict, one where alternative urban culture comes to terms with an ever advancing modern city landscape.  

The city is not a concrete jungle, it is a human zoo

We are this ape, and Berlin is our concrete jungle, but how do we behave and interact with our habitat?
